Some swear Danna’s Bar-B-Que & Burger serves the best barbecue in town, and with the amount of preparation and care that goes into preparing its dishes, not to mention the crowds that pour in, that doesn’t come as a surprise. Family owned and managed, the casual restaurant offers pulled pork, smoked chicken, pulled beef, ribs, fried catfish and other platters served with beans, coleslaw, french fries and roll, as well as sandwiches, burgers and a children’s menu. Come hungry, because it’s so good you’re going to want to finish everything on your plate. My favorite is the half-slab Rib Plate, but pretty much everything you order will be good.
That’s because its beef and pork are smoked overnight for up to 14 hours over local hickory wood, while the ribs, chicken and sausage are smoked four hours. Barbecue rub and sauces, as well as the coleslaw, are all homemade; and burgers are made fresh when ordered.
In addition to the location here, which also offers family packs and other combos to go, there’s another branch in Branson West, as well as a seasonal outlet at State Park Marina. And in case you know you’ll get the craving, you can buy some some of the rub or sauce to flavor your own barbecue after you get home.
