The annual Cranes of the World Festival, held at the International Crane Foundation, features everything from guided nature hikes to live animal shows. Naturalist and humorist David Stokes often appears to sing fun and informative songs.

The festival features lots of activities for the kids, such as scavenger hunts and craft tables.

And, of course, there’s always the rare opportunity to see all 15 of the world’s crane species together in one spot.

The International Crane Foundation is planning a $10 million expansion that will redo most of the complex.
