Costa Baja Resort & Spa is a good choice for those
looking to combine La Paz and luxury, and the resort compares favorably to the
high end resorts found in Los Cabos. Costa Baja is about a 10 minute drive
outside of town, so it’s not a good bet if you’re the type of traveler who
likes to stroll outside their hotel and be smack dab in the middle of the town,
convenient to the malecon and La Paz’s restaurants. There’s lots to like about
Costa Baja. During my stay, I really enjoyed the ease of having an onsite tour
operator; this made it a simple affair to join an excursion and head out on the
water to explore the Isla Espiritu. The restaurant, Steinbeck’s, is excellent,
and the resort has a spa, a marina, and a first rate championship golf course,
designed by Gary Player.
