The self-paced Coors Golden Brewery tour, which highlights the malting, brewing and packaging process Miller Coors uses to make Coors Light and other beers, usually takes about 30 minutes. We were fascinated by the sheer volume of beer passing before our eyes in the packaging area. The view will wet your appetite for the final stop: the “Fresh Beer Room,” where you can sample brews.
You might linger in the memorabilia room, if you’re old enough to remember the days when Coloradans shipped “beer made from pure Rocky Mountain Water” to their Eastern friends. Guests under 18 must be with an adult. Non-alcoholic beverages available.
Tours begin in the southeast corner of the visitor parking lot at 13th & Ford Street. A free ticket is required for the Brewery Tour and you will get it while riding on the tour bus to the Brewery. Check the websites for tour hours and what you are not allowed to bring (such as backpacks and strollers) on the tour.
