The Christmas at Disney’s Hollywood Studios lasts from early November to December 31. Seasonal attractions start off with a new Sunset Seasons Greetings with projections of Mickey, Minnie and other Disney characters telling Christmas stories along Sunset Boulevard. The Tower of Terror loses its foreboding look when it is covered with projections of seasonal scenes of Christmas presents, a gingerbread house and more. A huge Christmas tree and new over-sized ornaments decorate Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ Echo Lake.
The popular nighttime spectacular “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” is back with its dramatic fireworks, special effects and projections. Guests who want to enjoy the show in style can enjoy elaborate desserts, wine and beer while sitting in advance reserved seats for viewing “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!”
Santa Claus is in residence at the Once Upon a Time shop until December 24. After Santa delivers his gifts, Goofy substitutes for the jolly old elf from Christmas day to December 31. For lunch and dinner, Minnie and her friends Mickey, Daisy and Goofy are the special hosts for the Holiday Dine at Hollywood and Vine.
Reservations for Disney’s Hollywood Studios “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” dessert party and Minnie’s lunch and dinner holiday dine can be made at the Walt Disney World’s website.
In the For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration, popular character Olaf joins Anna, Elsa and Kristoff. For the holidays only, the show will add songs from Disney’s new animated short “Olaf’s Frozen Adventure.”
Star Wars fans in Orlando on December 16 will be interested in attending the one-night only showing of “Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular fireworks” and the “Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away” stage show. Starships will explode over Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the sky above the audience will glow from an epic Star Wars space battle lasting 14 minutes. A special panel will reveal additional plans for Disney’s Hollywood Studios Star Wars expansion and photo ops with some Star Wars characters. Starting at 7 p.m., the event is priced at $129 for adults. A similar show last April sold out.
