Wood fired and roaring to be eaten

You gotta love a good old fashioned diner that serves sustainable fare. Many families in the city have dinner here at least once a month. Why? Because Chow love children and feeds them well. Upon entry, the word cozy immediately pops to mind. A warm fire, brick walls, close tables (but not too close), a counter with people sipping from natural sodas and organic hot cocoas.

Their eggplant Parmesan, pizzas, omelets, and burgers are all consistently delicious. Kids will love the ample kiddo offerings and likely giggle over their special drink section, including the Violet Beauregard (grape juice with lemonade and a few blueberries).

They don’t take reservations for parties under 8—which can be a bummer on cold evenings—but you can call ahead and tell them you are coming. FYI: If you are near Inner Sunset, they have a second location called Park Chow (9th Ave and Irving), which has a similar vibe and menu.

Muni: J, K, L, M (Church).
