Cheltenham Food & Drink Fest

Foodies of the Cotswolds unite

Three days in June are dedicated to Cotswolds food, beer and wine. Stalls stretch out across Montpellier Gardens where you’ll find a selection of gourmet British goodies: chutneys and mustards, artisan cheese and bread, oak-smoked fish and an array of pies.

Watch cookery sessions with local chefs to hone your skills…that’s if you don’t get waylaid in the real ale marquee. In 2011, 15 micro-breweries brought along their best tipples. Crowds grow at the cider garden too while there’s usually a champagne bar for those with expensive tastes…

Too full for more food? There’s a craft tent where you can meet artists and snap up unique gifts such as glassware, jewellery, paintings, pottery, hand-turned wood and photography. Feel free to bring your kids as there’s street theatre just for them. Chill out after work listening to bands do their thing while you soak up the local flavour.
