For a true taste of the French Riviera, venture just a little bit outside of Saint-Tropez and you’ll find Chateau Minuty, teh vineyard and tasting room of one of the region’s most popular rosé wines. The verdant countryside is gorgeous and you’ll be amazed you’re only a few minutes from all the hustle of the village.
Château Minuty is a magnificent 18th-century property in below the village of Gassin, and has belonged to the Matton Farnet family since 1936. It is now under the direction of Jean-Etienne and François Matton, the third generation of passionate family winemakers. In 1955, Château Minuty became one of 23 wineries to be classified as the distinguished ‘Cru Classé des Côtes de Provence’ and is served in some of the world’s top restaurants.
Stop in and taste, and be sure to take a few bottles home for yourself. They are especially known for their rosé wines.
