Once a schoolhouse for pioneer children, this picturesque chapel began hosting Sunday services when the traveling pastor would visit back then.
Today, nondenominational services take place during the winter season, and the charming little building hosts many a wedding. It’s worth a visit anytime of the year.
It sits near the island library, so you may want to combine it with a visit there. And don’t miss the historic cemetery outside the chapel, where the passed-on have a better view than most of the islands’ living. I love that visitors more typically leave shells than flowers at the gravesites.
