Casanel Vineyards and Winery is a must-visit boutique winery making exceptional wine exclusively from estate grapes.
This is a winery that is serious about making wine. They are interested in creating a reputation based on the quality of that product. If you are looking for a “party” winery with a parking lot full of limos and buses, this is not the place for you.
Romance is stitched into the fabric of this lovely winery. Purchased in 2005, the forty-acre property included a mid-1800’s stone barn, an even older log cabin, a lake, and a creek. So you will find all the iconic symbols of Virginia wine country together in one perfect place.
The recent addition of a new (and much larger) tasting room helped balance charm with practicality. The new structure was tastefully designed and allows more visitors. This is necessary because the reputation of the winery is growing rapidly.
Casanel provides “car to bar” accessibility with disabled parking, wheelchair-accessible sidewalk with ramps and restrooms.
Children are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Dogs on leash are allowed, but must remain outside and must remain on leash.
Groups are also welcome, but limos or buses can only disgorge passengers if they have a prior reservation. This includes all groups of 8 or more.
Snacks are available for purchase. Outside food is allowed and even encouraged. Picnic areas are provided.
From Tysons Corner take Route 7 West towards Leesburg.Merge onto US-15/VA-7 W to Warrenton/Winchester. Take the Route 9 exit toward Hillsboro.
