This Blue Flag Beach features a busy mile-long crescent of white sand on the Atlantic Coast, just west of San Juan’s international airport on route 187.
Tall palm trees provide plenty of shade. The surf can be rough during the winter months; only go into the water when a green flag is flying.
A lifeguard is on duty, and there are restrooms, showers, snack shacks, and chair-rental huts. Noise from airplanes arriving and departing on the nearby runway can be annoying.
