Choose the Captain’s Manor Inn if you want to be within a stone’s throw of Main Street shopping and Falmouth dining, but a world away. This Georgian plantation-style house — the only one of its kind on Cape Cod — is the epitome of perfection. It’s set back from the road in the heart of the historic district.
Stellar innkeepers Trish and Kevin Robinson took the reins in 2010 and have utterly transformed the place, including almost doubling its size with a tasteful new addition. It’s now better than ever. (And it was pretty great before!)
They’ve outfitted the spacious corner rooms with stylishly contemporary furnishing, luxurious linens, and redone the bathrooms. Guest rooms are large enough not to be overwhelmed by tall, shuttered casement windows, while the living room, with its impressively high ceiling, is casually elegant.
The backyard park-like gardens and a gazebo are visible from the wrap-around porch. But I bet you will wander back before too long. Full breakfasts are served at individual tables or one larger one. Your choice.
