In Yellowstone National Park, no accommodation gets you closer to the incised Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone than staying in Canyon Village. From your room at Canyon Lodge and Cabins, you can drive in a few minutes to the North Rim or South Rim. Both rims drives have dramatic overlooks of the canyon and waterfalls. where you’ll utter “wow.” Sometimes, more than once.

A circa 1960s building that houses the registration and lobby looks nothing like the the lodges and cabins tucked behind it. Next door, several restaurants offer places for dining. You’ll findgrab-and-go items, ice cream, a 60’s diner, and a casual restaurant.

The huge complex of Canyon Lodge and Cabins offers choices. Five new lodges built between 2014-16 include upscale eco rooms and suites. Two lodges were built earlier. One of them does not have an elevator. The cabins, however, are not log cabins in the woods. Instead, they are buildings that have 4-6 modern guest rooms, each with a private entrance and bathroom.

Canyon Lodge is the largest accommodation facility in Yellowstone with more than 500 rooms. It is only open in summer. It usually operates mid-May through mid-October. Make reservations 13 months in advance as rooms book out fast.
