Set in the back of a parking lot on Kuhio Highway, this little spot is a unique courtyard dining experience. Order at the counter and then sit outside at sarong-covered plastic tables, with Christmas lights strewn above, and local entertainers playing music, performing hula, or telling jokes.
Serving health-conscious Pacific Rim influenced food with elements of Italian, Greek, and Moroccan thrown in for spice, you can’t go wrong with most anything you order. They offer large Greek salad, wraps and sandwiches, pizza, or gumbo as lighter fare.
For a treat, try the Pacific Rim Platter (a light and sweet take on ahi and tofu served on a silver noodle salad). Since everything is homemade, the service and food arrival isn’t very speedy, so order accordingly. Bring your own beer or wine to bide the time (there is a small corkage fee).
Or while you are waiting, check out the art gallery in the main building. Bring mosquito repellent with you as the little buggers camp out under the tables.
