Is there anything more seemingly delicate and graceful than a butterfly, especially the eye-catching tropical varieties? You’ll learn all about these beautiful aviators at Butterfly Palace, first from a 15-minute film about the life cycle of the tropical butterfly and then with a stroll through the plant-filled aviary, where approximately 1,000 imported tropical butterflies are at home. Magnifying glasses, kid-size binoculars and Pith Helmuts help kids get into the spirit of discovery.
Then it’s on to the Living Rainforest Science Center, with its displays of poison dart frogs, geckos, giant cockroaches and other tropical creatures, followed by a walk through the Emerald Forest Mirror Maze and a scamper through the Banyan Tree Bungee Adventure.
You’ll probably spend about 1.5 hours here.
