One of Virginia’s oldest wineries, Burnley Vineyards offers a distinct wine-country feel along with well-crafted wine and onsite accommodations.
The Burnley tasting room is a relaxed, simple space on the second floor. It includes a large enclosed lounge area.
Wines of all varieties are offered here. These include Chardonnay, Riesling, Vidal Blanc and Riesling in the white category. Reds include Chambourcin, Cabernet Sauvignon, Norton, Zinfandel, and Rivanna Red, a Beaujolais-style blend.
Interesting sweet choices include Moon Mist, a blend of Muscat Blanc and Orange Muscat, and Peach Fuzz. A crowd pleaser is Spicy Rivanna. This red blend contains added cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, allspice, anise, orange peel, lemon peel and residual sugar. It is basically a mulled wine.
Families with children are welcome
Burnley is available for private parties.
Group tours are welcome and there’s plenty of RV/Bus parking.
