Buffalo Phil’s is a sprawling restaurant and bar known for its toy trains, which deliver food and drink straight to your table — definitely a hit with kids. But adults feel at home here, too.
The trains operate in just two of the eatery’s dining rooms. “Old-fashioned” wait staff deliver food and drink to patrons in the restaurant’s other areas.
The menu is typical of grills or pizzerias: burgers, barbecued items, pizza, salads and sandwiches. There’s a section of rotisserie chicken items and specialty drinks; the beer list includes microbrews from nearby Moosejaw Brewing Co. Staff make the root beer, grape and orange sodas in-house. A kids’ menu is available, as is delivery.
The restaurant’s décor, sort of a Northwoods-meets-the-Wild West theme, includes some fun items like a saddle seat at the bar, and a fake cowboy patron waiting for his drink.
