With its wine-country feel, magnificent estate, world-class wines and exceptional customer focus, Breaux Vineyards is a must-visit destination.
Breaux is a massive estate with more than 400 acres. Only 85 of those acres are planted with vines. Nevertheless, it is enough to give a real wine-country vibe to this winery.
This winery started with 3 acres in 1985 and opened its doors in 1997. Today, Breaux regularly wins competitions locally, nationally and internationally.
Sitting on the Tuscan-inspired patio outside the tasting room, you might think Breaux has always been there. The right formula is definitely in place.
The long list of wines includes reds like Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Nebbiolo. Whites include Chardonnay, Vidal Blanc, Viognier and Seyval Blanc.
Breaux is a very popular wedding destination that accommodates up to 300 guests. Other private events, picnics and groups are welcome.
Children are welcome, but must be supervised by an adult. The property and part of the tasting room are also dog friendly.
A food program was recently initiated. A number of light snacks and more substantial fare are available. Picnics are encouraged as well.
Bus, RV and limo parking are available.
Private tastings are $10 and a guided tour costs an additional $5.
Group tastings are $20 per guest plus tax and a reservation is required.
VIP tastings are available for a minimum of 10 guests by reservation. The cost is $30 per guest plus tax. The cost covers a guided tasting in a private area, customized tasting sheet, logo wine glass and a full production facility tour.
From Leesburg, take Route 7 West approximately 4 miles to Route 9 West. Go 8 miles to Hillsboro, then 2 miles to Route 671. Bear right onto Route 671 (Harpers Ferry Road) and continue 1 mile to Breaux Vineyards(on the right).
Thanks to Nancy Bauer for developing the original draft.
