BPSP is a perfect park to bring your kids, and it’s not just because of the splash park.
A paved road bisects the park through the woods, and it makes this a popular spot for families and a convenient way to introduce your family to trails. And a gravel path follows the Ipswich river to a footbridge. These two “corridors” are the main ways of travel in the park, and any technical trails leave from them.
Ride the road with the family, or leave them at the spash park and take on a few challenging trails here or across the footbridge in Willowdale State Forest. You could actually ride completely in the woods from here to Georgetown or Ipswich!
BPSP is also one of the few parks with trails that lead through wide open fields, rather than closely spaced trees. A couple, anyway!
