When you want to meet friends in an interesting setting we recommend Dushanbe Tea House, which is an artfully designed, authentic tea house given to Boulder by its sister city. (Dushanbe, the sister city, is the capital of Tajikistan located north of Afghanistan and Pakistan and on China’s western border.) Designed after an Asian tea house, it was finished in 1990 after almost three years of work by Tajikistan artisans.

Tea lovers will enjoy the extensive selection. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu has a mix of tasty dishes from several countries. Afternoons, stop by for an elegant, traditional, English-style tea. (Reservations required 24-hours in advance.)
