Boon Lot’€™s Elephant Sanctuary

Homestay with Elephants

Save to my Account

Started by British woman Katherine Connor in memory of a beloved elephant called Boon Lot, this sanctuary, located 5-6 hour north of Bangkok near Sukhothai, is home to around 20 rescued and retired elephants who interact freely in a jungle environment. Set up as a homestay, BLES guests share in all aspects of the elephant’s world, walking with them, scrubbing and washing the elephants, maintaining the herd area and planting trees. Guest numbers are kept intentionally low, and three-to-five day program is often booked out a year in advance.
