Bethany Beach Books, Bethany’s only indie bookstore, opened in 1991. Yes, they have lots of books about Bethany and the area, its people and history. They’re open daily, all year (except Thanksgiving and December 25). During the summer they have author talks and book signings, book club, and story time for children. Check their calendar for other activities during the rest of the year. Because they love books so much, they have a Book Drop where they select some of the best books available—historical fiction; thriller, action or suspense; YA; and children—so you don’t have to fret about which is the best for your beach read.
