Two parts of the Beavers Bend State Park embrace different experiences. The lake section is where you’ll find Lakeview Lodge, which has, you guessed it, a view of Broken Bow Lake. Cedar Creek Golf Course is also located in the lake section. The lake enhances the scenic experience of the course – and adds to the hazards for golfers. Boat and jet ski rentals are available at the Beavers Bend Marina on the lake.
The southern part of the park features the Lower Mountain Fork River (below the dam). Here you’ll find cabins, the Forest Heritage Center, a general store, nature center, the riding stables and train depot and a restaurant. Trout fishing is available on the river year-round. Guides and fly fishing instruction is available locally. The river view cabins are extremely popular. The park also has RV and camp sites.
You’ll also find all the usual activities – hiking, biking, swimming, tennis, volleyball and picnicking. There are several trails ranging in length and difficulty from easy to “for experienced hikers only.”
