You might think you’re farther south than Kentucky when you get to the Beaumont. The dining room features a giant portrait of Robert E. Lee, as well as an orange-lemon cake named in his honor. Specialties include two-year-old Kentucky cured country ham, yellow-legged fried chicken, and their award-winning corn pudding. Make sure you have a designated driver if you order the chocolate superfecta dessert. It’s three mini chocolate desserts with three shots of bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery. Yep, you oughta try it. The Beaumont is a wonderful historic inn, as well as restaurant.
