The Beachcomber in Wellfleet is rowdy spot and lots of things to lots (and lots) of people: a cabana-themed raw bar, waves of beer, piles of oysters, powerful spirits, and righteous blues bands.
They keep the wings coming, as well as the burgers, seafood plates, salads, sandwiches, and other dishes that go well with a cold one. Nothing but apps and pizza after 9 pm.
It’s not the best place for kids, particularly after 4pm when it’s age 21+ only. Its fast-paced, party atmosphere is for those wanting the night to burn just as hot as their day at the beach.
Built in 1897 as a lifesaving station, it served 25 years as an inn, and has been a rocking bar since 1978.
They charge $20 to park in their lot before 5 pm, but you can apply the fee to your bill or one of their ubiquitous T-shirts.
