Almost like a museum at this hunter's and fisherman's paradise

There was a time when you had to go to nearby Springfield to ogle all the goods at Bass Pro. Not any more. This 40,000-square-foot Branson outlet is just one of more than 60 branches across the United States, and like all Bass Pro shops, it’s like a museum to the outdoors with its mounted animals, aquarium, historic boat and trolling motors, and other displays.

It has about everything a hunter or fisherman might desire, including 3,500 rods and 30,000 lures (this is, after all, fishing country; the store even offers free fly-casting and tying classes two Saturdays a month) and more than 900 guns, as well as camping and water sports equipment and clothing. But for the big stuff–including a huge selection of TRACKER boats–you’ll still need to go to Bass Pro in Springfield.
