Another great deal, and pleasant surprise, is Lubián’s Bar Javi (HAH vee). Just a block or two off the Camino, Bar Javi is one of the only, if not THE only, place in town offering food.
Its Menú del Día has typical offerings, and the food is well prepared and tasty. Best of all, they’ll make dinner for you at whatever hour you’d like.
Upstairs, you can rent a rather spacious, spotlessly clean room with private bath and flat-screen TV for roughly 25€/night. (The lodging, while part of Bar Javi, is also called Val dos Pigarros.) All lodging includes coffee in the morning, although you have to take it at 7 a.m. or 10 a.m.
There’s free WiFi in the entire building, and the signal strength is great in the rooms as well as the bar/restaurant.
If you e-mail for lodging reservations, you might not get a response. It’s better to call one of the owners: Laura Andrés Barja or Javi Sanchez Dominguez.
