ARTafterDARK is a evening event held at the Honolulu Museum of Art on the last Friday of each month from January-October. This is a great way to mix and mingle with some of the hippest and most creative people on the island, while checking out the Museum’s world-class art collections and dancing the evening away to the tunes of live bands and DJs. The best nights tend to be in January and October, which turn out to be massive Chinese New Year and Halloween celebrations. These two nights in particular tend to draw a very festive crowd and cause a queue to run out the door and down the block. If you’ve still got energy afterwards, make the short journey to Chinatown for more bars and clubs, such as Hank’s or The Dragon Upstairs, or a late dinner.
Note: Food and alcoholic drinks are available for purchase at all ARTafterDARK events.
