In Apgar, the Apgar Village Lodge and Cabins cluster under tall cedars near the foot of Lake McDonald. Many of the cabins flank McDonald Creek, the lake’s outlet. From motel rooms or cabins, visitors can walk five minutes or less to the shore of Lake McDonald to watch the sun rise over the mountains.
The location inside Glacier National Park is perfect for making a base camp for several days. You can fish, hike, bike, swim, paddle and boat.
Apgar Village Lodge offers older, rustic budget motel rooms and cabins. The cabins come with or without kitchens. They range in size to sleep a couple to a family. Neither motel rooms nor cabins have air-conditioning or televisions.
The motel and cabins are part of Apgar Village. The tiny seasonal town has a restaurant, an espresso and ice cream stand, camp store, gift shop, boat launch and paved bicycle trails. You can also rent bicycles, paddle boards and boats.
