Antiche Terme Belliazzi is no day at the thermal park. The oldest thermal establishment on Ischia, it was built atop the island’s historic Gurgitello Spring, whose waters’ healing properties have been known and exploited since the Romans. Slightly in need of an update, Antiche Terme Belliazzi may be showing its age a bit, but its treatments are nevertheless top notch.
A typical visit to Antiche Terme Belliazzi might start with a body scrub, mud bath or time in the spa’s sauna and pool area. This natural sauna is carved into the rock and the 40°C thermal bath and hydromassage is filled with water from the Gurgitello Spring. Finish with a relaxing massage, a physiotherapy or pressotherapy (lymphatic drainage) treatment or perhaps a facial, manicure or pedicure.
Antiche Terme Belliazzi offers à la carte treatments and package deals. Reservations are required. The spa is a bit out of the way but if you ask, they will send someone to pick you up at any of Ischia’s three ports or at your hotel.
