Set in a chocolate-box interior, little Amélie on Zagreb’s Vlaska street has positioned itself as one of the favorite places in the city for fine desserts.
Named after the French film of the same name and with four locations now across the city – Wallachia 6, Dobri Dol 49, and Duknovicevoj 4 at Maksimir, Amelie offers homemade sweet and salty delicacies just like any good French patisserie would.
Add ice cream with flavours like strawberry with balsamic vinegar, blueberries with ginger and the signature Amélie ice cream (vanilla, cream of forest fruit and toasted almonds), and you’ll be in sweet, sweet heaven.
You’ll also find classics like macarons, cheesecakes and savory quiches. All the patisseries are decorated with vintage charm in subtle pastel colours with a prevalence of white and the locations at Vlaska and Maksimir have summer terraces.
