Towers of seafood. A selection of fresh oysters from the Atlantic and Gulf Coasts. A view of the Key West Bight. What’s not to like? At Alonzo’s Oyster Bar, the oysters are brought in fresh and prepared fresh. Look to find the seasonal selection on their oyster menu. I prefer my oysters steamed or broiled, and the toppings here are superb, including spinach Parmesan, andouille, and key lime garlic. Native shrimp – the Key West pinks – and the native Florida spiny lobster are among the worthy eats at this popular seafood house. I enjoyed the Dixie Oyster Spinach Salad, with fried oysters, bacon, hard-boiled egg, and mango touched with passionfruit vinaigrette atop a bed of baby spinach.
