The 1804 Inn at Barboursville Vineyards offers luxurious wine-country accommodations on one of Virginia’s most beautiful and historic properties.

About the 1804 Inn

Barboursville Vineyards’ 1804 Inn and Cottages offer a variety of lodging options. The three elegant and palatial suites in the historic Georgian villa are one possibility. Sangiovese Cottage is a charming little brick structure that was used as a gardener’s residence during the early 20th century. The 19th-century Blue Run Cottage originally served as a dispensary and home for a local physician. Finally, the 18th-century brick servant’s quarters and old schoolhouse is divided into suites.

The Inn provides a cheese and chocolate plate along with a daily bottle of Barboursville wine.

All of the lodging options offer a sense of seclusion and allow you to feel removed from the outside world. In any case, you can enjoy the solitude or use the property as a base to explore the many regional points of interest.

While you are there, wander the historic property and explore the ruins of the Barbour mansion. You will also want to slip into the tasting room on a weekday to avoid the crowds. Also be certain to have lunch and/or dinner at Barboursville’s elegant Palladio restaurant. Be certain to make a reservation and dress appropriately.

Three cottages range from $240 to $400. Three suites range from $300 to $550.
