Head to Cherry Creek, Denver, for haute couture, easy-fit jeans and tops, or unusual one-of-a-kind crafts. (If you are staying downtown, Cherry Creek is easily reached by cab.) With more than 300 shops and galleries in the Cherry Creek Mall and Cherry Creek North, plus a large number of great restaurants, you’ll find enough to satisfy a shopaholic.

Start at the Cherry Creek Shopping Center at 3000 E. 1st Avenue, which has more than 150 mostly upscale shops including Louis Vuitton, Neiman MarcusNordstrom, and Tiffany and Co well as Lacoste, Abercrombe & Fitch, and Apple.

A few blocks from the Shopping Center is Show of Hands, at 210 Clayton street, where you’ll find creative, original handmade crafts and gifts for all budgets. Not much further, at 171 Detroit Street, Inspyre Boutique, voted the best boutique in 2014, offers a wide selection of women’s merchandise at prices within this stratosphere.

Art Stops

One of our favorites, Saks Gallery at 3019 2nd Avenue, specializes in American and European paintings and bronzes. But Mikkel Saks is also an expert on antique pueblo jewelry and usually has some on display.

Gadgets and More
Guys can easily get lost at Orvis at 2770 E 2nd Avenue, and might want to join one of their seminars. Or, attend an in-store event at Bang & Olufsen at 2445 E. 3rd Avenue, which features beautifully designed high-end home entertainment equipment.

Tired of shopping? Unwind with a spa treatment at Antoine du Chez at 150 Clayton Lane, one of the best spas in Denver.

Take Time to Dine
A short walk away, Elway’s serves great salads, sandwiches and some of the best beef in town. Zadie’s is a great deli nearby at 121 Adams. The upscale Chinese restaurant, Little Ollie’s Asian Cafe at 2364 E 3rd Avenue, has been a long-standing favorite with locals. Crepes ‘n Crepes at 2816 E. Third Avenue is great for a quick lunch or afternoon treat.

For clothing, bedding, cycles, art, salons and Hermes, it’s easy to shop ’till you drop. Or, head to an outdoor cafe for a cup of coffee and people-watching as long as you like.
