Only a 113-mile drive from Phoenix, Sedona can be a one day adventure if that’s all you have. There are a couple of local favorites and quick excursions that will give you a well-rounded experience of the most beautiful place in the U.S. in 24 hours.
Start your morning with a breakfast at Coffee Pot Restaurant on 89A in West Sedona. Next, take a drive up Airport Road for a quick panoramic view of Sedona and the surrounding rock formations from Airport Mesa, which is also one of the city’s four vortexes.
If you want to fit in a longer hike with a steep climb and majestic views, check out Brins Mesa Trail. For shorter hikes and views of some of the area’s most iconic landmarks (and two more vortexes) check out the Bell Rock pathway or Cathederal Rock trail.
For drinks and appetizers head over to View 180 or Che Ah Chi Restaurant over at Enchantment Resort tucked in Boyton Canyon. You’ll catch a beautiful view of the setting sun against the red rocks and you’ll also see Sedona’s 4th vortex – Kachina Woman.
