Prague radiates romance. It’s unquestionably one of the most romantic cities in Europe. Romantic Prague boasts fairy-tale cobblestone streets, impressive architecture and art, classical music, candlelit dinners, and breath-taking views. Legend has it that on May Day, lovers can make their love eternal. All they have to do is head to the statue of Karel Macha, a romantic poet, on Petřín Hill and kiss their loved one in front of the statue for eternal love.

Discover romantic Prague on your own (DIY)

Take a romantic walk through the old and narrow cobblestone streets through Old Town and Lesser Town. If you’re alright with a lot of walking, head to Petřín Hill or Prague Castle. Be sure to arrive at either location before sunset. The views of the city before, during, and after sunset are magnificent. On your way back, stroll over the river on the Charles Bridge.

Nothing says romance like a night at the Opera. Prague has three opera houses: National Theatre, Estate Theatre, and State Opera House.

*Note the State Opera House is closed until 2018 for renovations. During this time many performances are held at the Karlin Musical Theatre. Before going out to the opera, visit Ceský Granát Turnov for a special piece of Garnet jewelry. These precious red gems come from mines in the Czech Republic and will be long treasured.

Prague is filled with romantic dining places — from summer terraces and open-air gardens to special candle-lit dinners. Petrinske Terasy has a lovely terrace and Vinice Altan is surrounded by vineyards.

No matter the time of year, there’s love around every corner in Prague.
