Halloween New Orleans comes to our city each year the weekend before the big day.  This three day event is entirely volunteer run and raises money for Project Lazarus, which provides assisted living for local people living with HIV/AIDS. 

Many people have been to haunted houses, full of dangling spiders and dressed up ghouls.  New Orleans, however, is home to one of the rare, real haunted houses.  The Mortuary is a Victorian mansion built in 1872. 

The Skeleton House has been a New Orleans Halloween tradition for a few decades now. Each year the owner celebrates Halloween by covering her house with what has to be over 200 skeletons, all with accompanying spooky and silly puns.

Ghost Manor has become a Halloween favorite in New Orleans. Many people here put up impressive displays for Halloween but few are quite as meticulous and awe inspiring as at this Victorian home.
