Literally across the street from Santa Croce Church, this is a great value, no nonsense place, particularly appealing to families and folks from the neighborhood. Two dozen pizzas fill the menu of typical Tuscan dishes. While they do nothing unusual, they do the usuals extremely well.

The frequently changing white board menu hanging on the wall features a mere seven or eight pizzas on most days, ranging in price from 4.50 to 8 euros. The limited seating consists of upturned wine barrels with glass tabletops. Cash only.

Their wood-fire, Neapolitan pizza list is the main selling point, but they also produce an impressive array of pasta dishes (6.50 to 12 euros) and seafood. The locals are equally enthralled, so arrive early or reserve for dinner.

The terrace seating on relatively quiet Borgo La Croce is a big draw at this pizzeria/restaurant, specializing both in thin and thick crust pizzas. In addition to the over two dozen pizzas, they offer a large selection of typical Tuscan primi and secondi, including some veg options.

OK, the outdoor seating is in a parking lot and the poster-sized menus are usually a bad sign, but the pizzas here are very popular and endorsed by discriminating locals. There’s also no shortage of typical Tuscan pasta and meat and seafood plates.
