Giselle Abcarian grew up in Hawaii, where she loves to hike, snorkel, longboard surf and eat a colossal amount of mangos. She left the islands to study at UCLA, and spent her junior year abroad in Lyon, France. While in Europe, her travel bug quickly evolved into a needy travel monster, and she spent many weekends exploring the continent with her student rail pass. While in Lyon, Giselle also embraced her passion for food, attending a culinary program at the Institut Paul Bocuse and interning as a cook in a modern French restaurant. She currently lives in Venice, CA, and knows her way around the food, shopping and entertainment scene.
