Craig is an experienced travel editor and writer based in New York City. In the last decade, Craig has worked with guidebooks like Not For Tourists and Frommer's as well as online travel resources like TripAdvisor and Google Maps. When he's not rambling through the five boroughs, you can find him relaxing on the beach at scenic spots like Block Island or exploring across the pond for EuroCheapo.com. He also never passes up a chance for a tasty lunch in Chinatown. A few highlights of recent trips (not on the NYC subway) include a tiny mountain village in Bulgaria, dramatic waterfalls in Iceland, and the Finger Lakes in upstate New York. With a deep knowledge of New York City, he's familiar with the most popular tourist attractions as well as the best under-the-radar spots in neighborhoods across the city.

    What's your most exciting or surprising travel experience?

    Being in Germany during the 2006 World Cup was quite an extraordinary trip.

    Walking. But the subway is a very close second. You can visit the entire world in NYC just by going underground!

    Follow my instincts! Apps, websites, and guidebooks are excellent tools but sometimes old-fashioned intuition is the best way to go.
